Successful major campaigns begin with an objective feasibility and market survey. At Farr Associates Consulting LLC we believe that the process -- the Philanthropic Planning Study -- should include a thorough examination of internal as well as external resources. Interviews with key organization personnel and community leaders are at the heart of the survey.
Our studies produce several results crucial to the organizaitions' success:
Rational financial goals are set;
Organizations gain valuable insights into community perceptions of the organization and its vision;
Leaders and donors become educated about and engaged in planning;
Volunteer leaders with peer relationships needed for success are identified;
Potential major donors are identified;
Donors' potential interest in planned gifts is assessed;
Strategies and systems are assessed;
Practical advice is offered so that internal resources can be positioned to meet the challenge.
In addition to interviews, we often use focus groups to gain new insights and to integrate the study into an effective Leadership Awareness Program.
